When I was 27, I decided to get a calf-sized tattoo of an orca whale drinking a beer. Neko Case’s Middle Cyclone was the inspiration - an illustration on the vinyl record’s paper sleeve. This beer-drinking hunter is an avatar for love songs about the destructive beauty of nature.
