This sounds really exciting, Jonathan, I'm glad you're able to take this time for yourself. And that I get to experience your sabbatical vicariously through your writing. Your life story is an inspiration to many and I think you should share it! Why *not* you? ;)

Oddly, I saw your post about your substack at reddit and came to look. Definitely this is a story to be documenting. I don't know anything about paragliding, but I applaud the sabbatical and the reframing. Maybe you can find a way through this year to make the decision at the year end different than it seems right now.

Jonathan, everyone needs inspiration. And whether I stay upto date on your writing, please know you inspire me with every word. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying so.🙏❤️

I suggest some short stories, strictly for my own enjoyment. Love shorts stories and narrative essays

Wednesday was very fun, even with the torture of not going XC

So one of my goals should be to write some Steve stories? All paragliding themed?

My cousin worked for the Post Intelligencer in Seattle and some magazines. Loved his writing, a growing family had him move into a job with more financial security and rewards

I just like short stories , hard to write more than a few paragraph flight reports. Used to get America's Best short stories collections and essays. Way easier that having a bunch of magazine subscriptions.

Fun day one tandem and then an XC out to North bend. Felt like summer.

Three tandems tomorrow after the TFR
